I wanted to let you guys know that I will be on vacation for the next week. How can I be on vacation when my entire life is a vacation you might ask? It ain’t easy. I literally have to plan and do even less than normal and that’s no small task but I’m up to it. This morning Kevin and I were discussing random titles for this piece. Here were some of the ones we came up with:

In which I go step in time
In which I go punting on the Thames
In which I feed the birds, tuppence a bag
In which London Bridge falls down
In which I steal the crown jewels
In which I tell the queen “nice hat”
In which I destroy my cousins’ social standing in London
In which I learn to say Brilliant, a LOT
In which I learn to say Fantastic, a LOT

At any rate, I will be taking my daughter Keely over to London for her 21st birthday during her Fall Break from school. Since she wasn’t allowed to go abroad due to a medical situation, it seemed like the perfect gift for “the gift” (her nickname), both for her and me. While she will be staying with friends the entire time, I will be staying with my cousin Laurie (shout out Laurie) at her house in London.

Laurie has a much more active social life than I do so we will be attending many parties and I am pretty happy to spread the word of All Fooked Up to both the Swiss and the Australians at the parties I will be attending. Of course, I will endeavor not to get her kicked out of London society but I can make no promises. I write all these blogs with my “filter” firmly in place so you can imagine what happens when I throw a little alcohol into the mix. Yeah, I can see your little brains ticking with that thought. If you hear of an international incident in London, there’s a good chance that I will be at the center of it.

No matter. I do expect to come home with some fun stories that I will write up and post in this blog. So in reality, you too are going to London next week. So, use your time wisely and catch up on all the old stuff, even the Christmas letters where I got my start. I realize that I wrote like a hack all the time until I got my editor (Shout out editor), but hey, tough it out. So guys, just be patient and wait. Hopefully funny situations will abound.

I mean, I’m just saying …
